Yesterday the weatherman promised us Arctic weather with freezing temperatures and up to 20cms of snow. What did I wake up to? Edinburgh Castle looking like a fairytale setting, a combination of icing sugar white and cloudless blue skies? People using husky dog sleds to race down Princes Street? Tesco’s running out of carrots because they’d all been used up by snowman builders?
None of the above. Just a gloomy, damp, cold winters day.
Weathermen! Who needs them.
